The Last of Us fans of the HBO TV series all agree that Lamar Johnson absolutely smashed it as Henry in episode 5.

Over the weekend we were treated to the amazing fifth episode of The Last of Us TV series adaptation. Not only did we get to see the menacing Bloater, but we also got to see a new type of Clicker, superbly played by a nine-year-old girl.

Without question, at least from a monster perspective, the Clicker girl stole the show. However, from a human perspective, the performance of Lamar Johnson as Henry as well as Keivonn Westwood absolutely smashed it.

Fans of The Last of Us: Part 1, developed by Naughty Dog will be very familiar with the traumatic events of Sam and Henry in chapter 6 ‘The Suburbs’. However, despite knowing what was to come, episode five ‘Endure and Survive’ of the TV series was no less breathtaking.

In response to episode five of The Last of Us, fans reacted to the performance of Lamar Johnson on Reddit. “What did u think of the actor for henry? in The last of us HBO SHOW,” the thread opened up the discussion.

“Lamar Johnson did an excellent job,” said XC_eddy. “Such a nuanced and emotional performance. 10/10.” replied another.

“For me, Lamar Johnson as Henry delivered the most beautiful and nuanced performance in the episode, which is saying a LOT considering the remarkable performances from everyone else,” matsuobooyash, so excellently puts it.

In related news, we spoke to the voice of Tommy from the video game series, Jeffrey Pierce on the possibility of the character's return in The Last of Us: Part 3 as well as the actor's role in the HBO adaptation.

The Last of Us TV series airs every Sunday on HBO Max in the US and every Monday on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
