Happy The Last of Us Day to all who celebrate, which I’m guessing is most of the people reading this article. As I’m sure you’re aware, 26 September marks the day the outbreak began in the world of The Last of Us and has since become a fun day of fan celebration and exciting reveals. We’ve had a bountiful month already thanks to the release of The Last of Us Part I, which we deemed to be an “exceptional remake,” but let’s get to what we’re all here for. HBO have released the first trailer for their upcoming The Last of Us TV series and it looks incredible.

Check out the brand new trailer for HBO’s The Last of Us series below.

How good does that look? As I’m sure you’re aware, The Last of Us will star Bella Ramsey as Ellie and Pedro Pascal as Joel. A few weeks ago, HBO released a teaser for the show which went down extremely well with fans. Fans were particularly impressed with Pascal’s pitch-perfect portrayal of Joel. This latest trailer offers us a more in-depth glimpse at both stars in action and let’s just say, they understood the assignment.

In the new trailer, we also got to see Marlene, Tess, Bill, and Riley in action as well as a Clicker which looked terrifyingly accurate. All in all, this looks exactly like what we wanted to see from a The Last of Us TV show - the perfect blend of action and gripping drama.

What we’re all after now is a release date. Well, the trailer confirmed that the show is due to release in 2023. Sadly, there isn’t a specific date beyond that but previous hints said the show was likely to air “closer to early 2023” so a spring release date seems likely.
