One player thinks they’ve discovered a hidden teaser for The Elder Scrolls VI within The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, and fans think the community has collectively gone loopy as a result.
It’s been over six years since we first saw Bethesda’s teaser trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI. Now, “teaser” trailers, as the name implies, aren’t supposed to give away much, but I think the wait in between what little we laid our eyes on and now has sent The Elder Scrolls fanbase a tiny bit bonkers.
In a thread titled “Was exploring outside the Oblivion remaster map, is it just me or does this vaguely resemble the teaser landscape?” over on the r/TESVI subreddit, one user thinks they’ve spotted the exact same landscape.

But have they? Really?
Here's that teaser trailer.
Uh, well, look… it’s certainly a collection of rocks, that much is for sure. Is it the same collection of rocks? Maybe you’ll have to let the commenters decide this one.

“This is a hilarious reach and I don’t even blame the poster for making it after having to wait so long for ES6,” commented user vikingsfan1128.
“The contents of my cereal bowl vaguely resemble the teaser landscape. The teaser landscape was a generic lifeless pile of rocks,” replied user itseph.
I think that last commenter has it right. Unfortunately, what we saw in the teaser trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI really could resemble any kind of rock formation you look at in the game, especially if you squint.
I don’t think this is Bethesda’s attempt at some kind of cheeky easter egg, especially considering the area of the map is unfinished… you know, because you aren’t actually supposed to go there in the first place.

Relax, guys. I’m sure they’ll give us a proper trailer soon. Any day now…
