During TwitchCon earlier this month, popular streamer Adriana Chechik broke her back in two places after jumping into a foam pit. It was confirmed after surgery that as well as nerve damage to her bladder, the injury had totally crushed some bones, and had also fused some together.

Since the incident, the streamer has been sharing the details of her arduous recovery process - one earlier session of physical therapy had her crying for an hour after attempting to sit up. Since then, she’s managed to walk again, but understandably gets tired easily from most activities.

As reported by Kotaku, Chechik returned to Twitch over the weekend for the first time since her injury and updated fans on her health. She also showed her surgery scar, which she explained that the surgeons had stitched up as neatly as possible due to her being a model.

“If you can’t tell I’m already out of breath. I get out of breath holding my phone, everything,” she said. “But they did an amazing job, the stitches were inside because I’m a model.”

Later on in the stream, she went on to say that during her stay in the hospital, the tests that were carried out on her revealed that she was pregnant when the injury occurred, something she wasn’t aware of until then. However, she wasn’t able to keep the baby due to her back surgery.

“I was pregnant and I didn’t find out until I was in the hospital, so I also have like crazy hormones,” she explained. “I’m not pregnant anymore because of the surgery, I couldn’t keep it, but my hormones are just also through the f**king roof because of that.”

After the stream, Chechik thanked her fans for their support, saying that it was “awesome” to be back.
