Who doesn't love free games? If so, then we have you covered with some fantastic freebie goodness.

We all need a distraction from our worldly troubles, and one of the best forms of distraction is the joy video games can bring. However, sometimes for whatever reason, we can’t always cough up the cash for that form of escapism.

Thankfully, we’ve compiled a short list of 15 games that you can play right now on PC Steam and none will cost you a single penny, well, other than one bonus game and perhaps an internet connection requirement.

That being said, here's our list of 15 great free games available on Steam to play right now:

  • Destiny 2 (first-person shooter RPG)
  • Apex Legends (first-person shooter/battle royale)
  • The Sims 4 (social sim)
  • Warframe (first-person shooter RPG)
  • Lost Ark (MMORPG)
  • Star Wars: The Old Republic (MMORPG)
  • Team Fortress 2 (first-person shooter)
  • Guild Wars 2 (MMORPG)
  • PUBG: Battlegrounds (first-person shooter/battle royale)
  • Marvel Snap (card game)
  • Halo Infinite (first-person shooter)
  • Brawlhalla (fighting)
  • Dota 2
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel (card game)
  • Death Rally Classic (racing)

I know the purpose of this list is for free games, but I couldn't help but recommend one bargain that will cost less than £1, such as Payday 2 for just 89p. This classic co-op shooter which requires players to work together can be great fun and offers the perfect entry point to Payday 3 which arrives later this year.

In related news, if all of the above isn't enough freebie goodness, then fear not. Only yesterday, Steam announced that it was offering 34 games for free in a massive giveaway, and you can even try an Animal Crossing-inspired game at no cost whatsoever. Rejoice!

As always, we’ll be keeping a lookout for more free games, so keep your eyes peeled on GAMINGbible for further updates.
