Starfield quietly teases our next big expansion

Bethesda has big plans for the RPG

Since its release back in 2023, Bethesda’s latest RPG Starfield has been on quite a journey.

From mixed reviews at launch due to its empty open-world and generic gameplay to an increase in players thanks to its Shattered Space DLC back in September, Starfield has proved itself to be a hit or a miss depending on its player.

Check out the Shattered Space expansion for Starfield below!

For our very own Kate Harrold, she was a big fan and had the following to say in her review:

“Starfield is without a doubt a monumental release - and not just because it's Bethesda’s first new IP in 25 years.

Every now and then, a new game comes along that changes our perception of what the industry is capable of. Starfield is that game.

This is beyond what we’ve come to know an open-world to be. Bethesda has created a universe that, despite its vast scale, maintains interest and an impressive attention to detail throughout.

The journey you embark on will dazzle you, and I have no doubt that players will be gripped for months, perhaps even years to come.”

Since the release of Shattered Space, Bethesda has remained quite tight-lipped about its future plans for Starfield.

However, a recent statement from the official Twitter account has left fans feeling hopeful.

“We know you’re eager for an update, and we truly appreciate your passion for Starfield.

The team has been hard at work, and while we’re not ready to share specific details just yet, we have a lot of exciting things planned for the game this year that we can’t wait to talk about when the time is right.

We’re always listening and taking your feedback to heart. Thanks for being part of this journey with us.”

Of course, this doesn’t give us any information about what we can expect but it is exciting to know that Starfield hasn’t been abandoned, especially with Bethesda also turning its attention to Fallout 5 and The Elder Scrolls 6.

Hopefully we will receive a more detailed update later this year.
