Starfield is celebrating its second anniversary with a tease of what’s next for the sci-fi RPG.
Despite facing criticism from players at launch for its less-than-ideal open-world and janky bugs Starfield is still clinging to life with more DLC on the way.
We’ve already had the Shattered Space DLC which introduced a new map, a new narrative and even a new vehicle to roam across planets in. It was a step in the right direction and now there’s more on the way.
In a post on X from the official Starfield account a celebration of the game’s two year anniversary was posted, with a sneaky video tease of something big coming to the game.

The post reads: “Thank you to everyone who has explored the Settled Systems with us. We look forward to the adventures yet to come.”
About halfway through the video the text begins to flicker revealing different words behind it, one of which says “armada” and the one above presumably being “Terran” or “Terra.”
This hints at some sort of invasion if I had to guess, perhaps bringing some changes and improvements to the combat system or maybe some full-scale battles on both land and in space. A Terran Preservation Society can also be found in the game so they'll likely have something to do this new narrative.
Bethesda has been teasing mechs for the game for quite a while now, so perhaps those will finally be added in this next update.

Starfield is also expected to come to PlayStation platforms soon, so perhaps this new update or expansion with coincide with the game's launch on Sony's platform.
Whatever the case it's an exciting development for those still playing Starfield, and if the game does come to PlayStation too that'll hopefully be a whole new community of players to boost its playercount.
