Stardew Valley update quietly adds brand-new content for millions of players

If you’re a Stardew Valley farmer and resident, specifically on PlayStation or Xbox, you’ll have more content and lots of bug fixes in the latest update.

This latest patch, which was a sneaky release from the development team, will bring console Stardew Valley players up to date with PC counterparts.

Nintendo Switch owners will need to wait a little longer, but the latest patch - 1.6.15.1 - is now live on PlayStation and Xbox.

Headlining this patch are, of course, lots of bug fixes and tweaks to performance.

When you next play, you’ll notice performance improvements and UI updates.

Aspiring fisher folk will see that the Legendary Fish Ponds now have a higher daily value, offering you more reasons to get your rod and head down to the water.

You are likely looking for new things to do, especially if you’re a player who has sunk hundreds of hours into the game.

Well, you’ve got a few new easter eggs to discover, but there’s also a ‘secret woods’ friend who can recover lost items for a small price.

You can find the full patch notes for console via Twitter, where ConcernedApe has posted the entire list of changes and tweaks.

Among the biggest bug squashes are problems with the tool selection, room upgrades on Meadowlands farms, and NPC walking issues.

Now there is more parity between console players and PC farmers, so you can get back to your farm and digital life to enjoy the changes.

Stardew Valley has cemented itself as one of the greatest games of all-time, not just in the life simulator genre.

The game offers players a way to escape the hustle and bustle of regular life and escape to the country where love blossoms, and so do the plants and veggies.
