Putting Baldur’s Gate 3 in Stardew Valley is such a genius move it’ll have everyone dashing to their PC to romance Astarion and Shadowheart all over again.

A new project from XunHe1145 is aiming to bring over several characters from the stand-out game of 2023, Baldur’s Gate 3, and put them into the delightful farming sim, Stardew Valley. From what we’ve seen so far on Twitter, it’s a match made in heaven.
The characters the small team is working on include Astarion, Shadowheart, Gale, and Halsin. The team is also working on an independent map for “Baldur’s Village” and four different styles of building.
At present, the modding team is aiming to release the first sneak peek on Nexus Mods before the first anniversary of the launch of Baldur’s Gate 3, which falls on 3 August.
According to the announcement tweet, only Astarion is dateable currently and while they don’t go on to detail about whether others will appear, they do express that as a small team, they can only do so much and at a slow speed.
There’s likely a huge cross-section of fans who have these games in their hearts so this will likely prove to be a huge success for the team. I can already hear the whoops of joy from my colleague Em as she aims to romance Astarion for the umpteenth time.
