Star Wars fans are hyped over a new prequel series set before the Marmite movie that is, The Phantom Menace.

Released in 1999, it’s fair to say that Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace never received the warmest of receptions, as indicated by its Rotten Tomatoes score of 52% from critics and 59% from the audience. However, I like to think that The Phantom Menace is viewed more favourably, nowadays.

So, if you have love for the odd Star Wars movie out, and you want some more Phantom Menace lore, then this comic book series that has got fans hyped should be on your radar.

“New 'Star Wars: Jedi Knights' ongoing Marvel pre-Episode I comic announced,” posted Redditor VengefulKangaroo, sharing the new Marvel Comics announcement.

“Taking place before The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Jedi Knights stars the Jedi Order as fans came to know it during the Prequel Trilogy including legendary characters like Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Count Dooku, Mace Windu, and many more,” reads an announcement on Marvel.com.

Interestingly, alongside fan-favourite characters, Star Wars: Jedi Knights will introduce new characters said to have “served the Republic during this pivotal era.”

“As a prequel lover, I’m very excited about this,” replied TheUltimateInNerdy.

“So excited for this one, I can never get enough Kit Fisto and Plo Koon,” said a joyful Serious_Course_3244.

“I really hope for Yaddle's story, and we finally get a glimpse of Padawan Tapal. Like, you can't just drop a tidbit like that and not follow up on it,” Dixxxine pleaded.

“This is super cool and something I've wanted for a long time,” exclaimed There526. “That said...Nobody on that promo cover is a Jedi Knight. It's one Padawan and thirteen Masters.”

Star Wars: Jedi Knights #1 will be released in March 2025 where you buy your comics.
