In another unlikely MCU and DC crossover, one comic will see the web slinger and the Caped Kryptonian come together to take on an earthly threat.
Arriving in March and April of next year, DC Comics and Marvel Comics will come together to showcase an unlikely duo in two facsimile editions: Superman/Spider-Man #1 (DC) and Spider-Man/Superman #1 (Marvel).
Although exact storylines, creative teams and artists are yet to be decided, the crossover will see Spider-Man and Superman team up in “the battle of the century”.
It is about time that these two unlikely heroes team up after remaining absent from both DC and Marvel Comics for a while.

However, we know first hand that it works following the success of Deadpool/Batman and Batman/Deadpool.
After Batman #1 recently sold over 500,000 copies, the two rival companies recently came together to publish the spin-off entries and it seems as though these unlikely pairings are appealing to many comic book fans.
Alongside The Caped Crusader and The Merc with a Mouth coming together, DC and Marvel have also brought together the likes of Captain America and Wonder Woman, Daredevil and Green Arrow and now, Spider-Man and Superman.
The news comes after Bleeding Cool’s Rich Johnston released the following statement, "I have been informed to expect another double issue crossover, one from each publisher, with Superman/Spider-Man drawn by Jim Lee (possibly why he has been tied up so long) [and] a rather unexpected artist on the Marvel side, Dan Mora, who has been sticking to DC Comics and the occasional Massive-Verse foray in recent years."

Set to hit shelves in 2026, Superman/Spider-Man #1 and Spider-Man/Superman #1 will reportedly not be the only team-up in the new year.
According to the same report, our favourite heroes from X-Men, Justice League, Fantastic Four, and the Suicide Squad have been noticeable absent and so could be the beloved teams behind some unlikely duos in the future.
There may not be anymore details as of yet but in the meantime, fans can look forward to another crossover in the form of Batman/Deadpool #1 which is set to be released at the end of this month on 29 October.
“Deadpool and Batman cross swords and batarangs as Marvel and DC unite to produce new crossover comics!” The official synopsis reads.
