Skyrim player boots up PS3 save for first time in 6 years, is greeted with pure chaos

It's battle royale time

A Skyrim player was met with absolute chaos after loading up a save they hadn’t touched in six years.

The Elder Scrolls games are known for their unpredictability. The likelihood of discovering a weird glitch by accident, without even trying to break the game, is immeasurably high.

This doesn’t just apply to the older games in the series, but even the latest versions of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim still have a large number of awkward bugs.

One Skyrim player on PS3 learned this the hard way, after Reddit user Far_Run_2672 decided to load up their save for the first time in six years.

“So I decided to boot up Skyrim for the first time in six years,” they write. “Decided to fast travel to one of my favourite locations in the game, but got dropped into the middle of some crazy fight with all types of creatures.

“Can anyone explain how this even happened? This is on PS3 so no mods or whatever. It feels like one of those Skyrim battle royale videos on YouTube.”

Judging from the video, the player is dropped into a fight with draugr, mountain lions, bears, spiders, and raiders all attacking each other. A dragon even swoops in towards the end.

It’s incredibly rare to see this amount of diverse NPCs fighting at the same time, which prompted Far_Run_2672 to post a clip on the Skyrim Reddit page.

Even some of the commenters were baffled by the phenomenon, but most of them joined in on the fun, with one comment writing: “I can’t tell you why this is happening but I recommend you to just join the fighting and enjoy this SKYRIM MOMENT”

“Maybe this is the game's way of showing you what you've been missing all these years by going all out battle royale for you,” wrote another.

“The fact that they're all fighting each other instead of beelining to kill you together tells me this is a don't leave me again present.”

In all truth, the reason this is probably happening is due to the fact that the game is being played on a PS3. Since it's not on PC, there aren't any mods present.

While Skyrim is notoriously funky on all platforms at times, the PS3 version is probably the buggiest version.

There exist certain bugs and glitches on the PS3 version that were patched out of other versions.

We certainly wouldn’t put it past the game to have some kind of weird creature battle royale bug that the other editions don’t have.
