Skyrim fans stunned by hidden island and quest that 'feels like DLC'

Skyrim fans stunned by hidden island and quest that 'feels like DLC'

Did you know about this quest?

When it comes to epic fantasy adventures, it doesn't get much better than The Elder Scrolls VI: Skyrim packed with wonderful quests that you may or may not know about.

Originally released in 2011 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, before Bethesda ported it to every console generation that followed, Skyrim is one of the most beloved RPGs of all time that is still going strong to this day.

Check out the Skyrim Anniversary Edition trailer below!

“The next chapter in the highly anticipated Elder Scrolls saga arrives from the makers of the 2006 and 2008 Games of the Year, Bethesda Game Studios. Skyrim reimagines and revolutionises the open-world fantasy epic, bringing to life a complete virtual world open for you to explore any way you choose,” reads the synopsis of the game.

Since its launch, Skyrim has been supported by two meaty expansions, namely Dawngaurd and Dragonborn, and that’s not even taking into account the ever-vibrant modding community that continues to breathe new life into the game.

However, there is also a somewhat secret quest that is quite difficult to find in Tamriel that you might not know about and it almost feels like DLC as shared by the YouTube channel, ESO. The quest in question is called ‘Rise of the East’.

To activate the ‘Rise of the East’ quest, you first have to steal a logbook from a faction known as the Shatter-Shields, which can be found in the East Empire Company office.

However, players may be instantly stumped to access the office because it requires a master level locksmith. Thankfully, for those sneaky players, you can pickpocket a nearby guard to pinch a key granting access to the office and once that logbook is acquired, it will then spark a new chain of events that could keep you occupied for hours on end.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. It’s also available to subscribers of Xbox Game Pass at no extra cost.
