Skyrim can be home to some horrifying discoveries as fans have uncovered throughout the years and it really just makes you think what Bethesda would be capable of if it ever worked on a horror game.

On the surface, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim offers players a fantastical experience across a land roaming with giants, dragons and all manner of mythological beings.

However, the more you dive into the world that Bethesda has created, the more you will discover secrets that you will almost wish you never had.

That is what recently happened with one player who shared their horrifying discovery over on r/skyrim.

Upon purchasing their Wildhelm house, they soon discovered that they were not alone in the new dwelling.

“Are the mannequins in my Windhelm house supposed to be…. alive?” They asked, alongside a video of the mannequins in question.

Found in the armoury underneath the mounted heads of wild bears are two mannequins who seem normal upon first glance but the more you watch them, the more you notice that they are actually moving.

“I’ve never seen anything like this before,” the user continued.

“All three mannequins seem to be alive, breathing, looking around.

When you click on them they take a stance and stay there. Haven’t seen this at any of my other houses.”

It is horrifying to say the least but a fellow The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim fan soon offered a totally reasonable explanation.

“They are technically NPCs so this can happen,” they shared.

However, another player had another interesting discovery relating to the creepy mannequins.

“If you have the Solitude Home with alchemy table and mannequins, sometimes you will encounter the rare glitch where one of them is using the alchemy table,” their comment read.

I am just glad that I never stumbled across that.

This just goes to show the amount of glitches in Skyrim that have just become widely accepted features over the years. Typical Bethesda.
