Scrubs star Zach Braff has revealed he's willing to join his old castmate and best friend Donald Faison in the DC universe as a fan-favourite character.
Faison, who played the beloved surgeon Turk in all nine seasons of Scrubs, recently popped up in the DC Arrowverse show Legends Of Tomorrow. The actor made a surprise appearance in the show's season finale as none other than Booster Gold, a time-travelling superhero (and a bit of a scamp).
In the comic books, Booster Gold has a close friendship with Ted Kord, the original Blue Beetle. Naturally, it wasn't long until fans started campaigning to see Braff take on the role of Kord in Legends Of Tomorrow and give us an iconic live-action version of this celebrated duo.

In the most recent episode of the Scrubs re-watch podcast Fake Doctors Real Friends, Braff confirmed that he's absolutely down to have a conversation with Arrowverse producer Greg Berlanti and join the series as Kord.
"Listen, this keeps coming up and I want you to tell all your followers: I am down to play Ted Kord," Braff said. "Whoever owns the property. It's DC, right? Probably part of the Berlantiverse. He's one of the first people who ever hired me. But yeah, Donald said that everyone [is saying that I should be Ted Kord]... I don't follow comic books. I'm sorry. I know people love them. I don't know anything about it, but yes, I'm here to announce that whoever owns the property, I'm down to play Ted Kord."
Legends Of Tomorrow has yet to be officially renewed for an eighth season, but if it comes back Faison has said he will be a series regular. From there, I'd imagine it's only a matter of time until Braff joins the party and gives the fans the unofficial Scrubs reunion they've been waiting for.
