It’s been 16 long years since the release of Rush Hour 3 in 2007. Ever since the first movie was released in 1998, the on-screen chemistry between Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan was to a level that would become unmatched as their natural comedic timing bounced off one another.

The Flash hits cinemas very soon. Take a look at the trailer below.

So it stands to reason that fans are desperate to see the iconic buddy-cop duo return in Rush Hour 4. However, details on the fourth movie are very vague at this time. Back in December 2022, Jackie Chan surprised those in attendance at the Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia by revealing Rush Hour 4 is happening. “We’re talking about part four right now,” Chan told fans at the festival. Other than that, no official details have been revealed. Naturally, fans hope that Chris Tucker will reprise his role, and it seems that might just happen.

As reported by Screen Rant, Chris Tucker told Audacy’s V-103 that he is “definitely” down to return alongside Jackie Chan. “You’re going to see a lot of good stuff coming, but it’s going to be on a whole other level. That’s what I like…I’m excited about that. It’s not going to be what you’ve normally seen,” said Tucker. “Rush Hour 4, that’s something I definitely will probably drop in there because I love working with Jackie, but I’ve got some new stuff that I think you’re really gonna like. I’m excited about it.”

At the time of writing, nothing is set in stone, other than Jackie Chan’s word that discussions are taking place to make Rush Hour 4 happen. Unfortunately, due to the movie not even starting its production, let alone announcing a director, producer or writer, its release might be a few years away at least.

In related Jackie Chan news, the director of Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings wants the martial arts master to star in the sequel.
