Can you believe that it’s been an entire year since Resident Evil Village released? How time flies. It feels like just yesterday that horny gamers across the world were losing their minds over Lady Dimitrescu, who was undoubtedly the scene stealer of the game.

Ever since the words “The man is of no real use to anyone else” fell out of her bloodthirsty mouth, the nine-foot-tall Lady Dimitrescu became a quick fan-favourite and got players feeling a little hot under the collar. Actress Maggie Robertson soon became everyone’s new favourite person, but now there’s a new development in the Dimitrescu saga as the vampire’s real life doppelganger has been unearthed.

In case you missed it, Netflix just dropped the first trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil TV series. If you haven't already, have a watch below.

A woman by the name of Rochelle Martinez recently took to Instagram to share the discovery that she bears a shocking resemblance to the character. Whilst not a gamer herself, Rochelle was informed of the lookalike connection via her daughter and needless to say, the photo has sent the internet into a frenzy. Take a look below.

Rochelle wrote, “My daughter pointed out the resemblance of myself and Alcina Dimitrescu, better known as Lady Dimitrescu. She's a character in the 2021 survival horror game Resident Evil Village … It’s kinda creepy.” Let’s just hope Rochelle doesn’t share Dimitrescu’s vampiric thirst for the ‘man thing.’

Resident Evil fans were quick to track down the post and immediately took to the comments to share their thoughts. Elieletri62 wrote, “So the pic on the right isn’t you? No way!” whilst Willw823 said, “You look more like Lady Dimitrescu, than the actual actress who played the part for the character model. Wow.”

Many suggested that Rochelle should put together a full Lady Dimitrescu cosplay, and then we really would find ourselves in uncanny valley. Arthurhengch wrote, “Oh God, definitely cosplay her. You’re gonna break the internet,” and Ramboletswork echoed that thought saying, “If you cosplay, guaranteed to go viral.” We’ll have to keep our eyes peeled.
