Resident Evil Code: Veronica fans are hyped at the prospect of a remake finally being on the way.

Considered by many to be the last traditional survival horror game in the iconic Capcom series, originally released in 2000 on the SEGA Dreamcast, fans have longed for Resident Evil Code: Veronica to get the remake it deserves.

“Raccoon City was just the beginning. Claire and Chris Redfield’s nightmare continues as the siblings fight to survive against zombies and other monstrosities within Umbrella’s deadly facilities,” reads the synopsis of Resident Evil Code: Veronica.

“Explore the mysterious Rockfort Island facility and the freezing Antarctic Base for clues exposing the Umbrella Corporation’s sordid goals and the truth behind the mysterious and unsettling Ashford twins.”

Aside from knowing that Resident Evil 9 (currently not its official name) is in development, rumours have also been making the rounds that a remake is on the way of Code: Veronica and even 2002’s, Resident Evil Zero.

“Resident Evil Zero & Code: Veronica remake will reportedly not be as ‘ambitious’ as RE4 remake,” read a headline from TwistedVoxel shared on Reddit by NoahFuelGaming1234.

“Just give me the damn Code: Veronica remake already,” demanded Jakesummers1.

“As long as they keep Code: Veronica in all of its disturbing glory, I'll be happy,” said TheRealCabol. “I think it's one of the most underrated RE games and I love it.”

“Code: Veronica was my first and only RE game. It scared the living crap out of me,” exclaimed largebrandon.

“Gosh, I hope they use the Claire actor from the RE2 remake. I love that rendition of her,” replied First_HistoryMan.

Code: Veronica

Only time will tell whether Capcom will remake Resident Evil Code: Veronica but I hope that it happens. Oh, and remake or remaster Resident Evil Outbreak: File 2, please.

Hopefully, Capcom will also finally reveal Resident Evil 9 in the coming months.
