We can’t lie, we’re very excited for the next Resident Evil game, but with so little information out there and what it’ll be and when we can expect we are getting a bit bored of waiting.

Resident Evil 9 or whatever title it goes with will ultimately be worth the wait, but in the meantime we’re looking into other horror titles we can play in the meantime…

That said I’ve currently been replaying Resident Evil 4 (2023) and loving every minute of it

If you’re in the same boat let me recommend an awesome horror title coming to Steam potentially later this year, Industria 2.

It looks absolutely wild, and depending on its launch date it could be an excellent one to play while waiting for your favourite horror series to return.

Industria 2 describes itself as “a narrative FPS adventure about a woman stranded in a parallel dimension. Explore, scavenge and fight your way through a mysterious boreal landscape consumed by an ever-hungry artificial intelligence to find a way home.”

From the screenshots and gameplay alone I’d say this is one of the creepiest video game settings I’ve ever seen, possibly rivalling Silent Hill in terms of eldritch-style horrors.

The one that stands out the most to me is the image showing a colossal figure taking a stroll across a town, slightly obscured by fog but still visibly massive, it’s terrifying stuff.

Unfortunately as much as I’d love to dive into this game right now, provided it’ll work on my Steam Deck, it’s not currently available. Even worse is there is no release date tied to it just yet, not even a release window to give us an idea if it’s launching in 2025 or not.

It’s unfortunate but I’m willing to wait, as it looks like a thrilling horror adventure that I’ll eagerly want to play when it’s out.
