Red Dead Redemption 2 player finds secret ending cutscene we've never seen before

The secrets that you keep

Just when we think we’re out of the woods, we stumble into a copse of hidden secrets.

We are seriously starting to wonder if we’ll ever stop finding more lore in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Before this latest discovery, Rockstar fans were left baffled by a mystery NPC from the original game.

Could they be someone of importance, or a long-forgotten character who didn’t make the cut?

An outlaw's life is never easy in Red Dead Redemption 2

With a recent Rockstar leak dividing Red Dead Redemption 3 fans, it’s fair to say the fandom hasn’t known peace for quite some time.

Similarly to Dutch, as it so happens.

In a newly unearthed ending cutscene, RDR2 fans can watch as Dutch accuses John of being a rat, much to his horror.

It’s a fantastic scene filled with emotions that adds further depth to the events still to come.

However, some are scratching their heads, confused as to why they’ve never seen the clip before.

“I've never encountered this dialogue in the game. I played it twice already. And I played it slowly during my second time to experience as much dialogue as possible,” posted cliffjudah on Reddit.

Sadly, nobody could offer the OP an answer to their query.

While no answers came, other fans also found themselves surprised by this secret ending.

“Wow! I've done multiple play-throughs and have never seen this!” Redditor Adelaide5019 responded.

Even though no one knows how to trigger this scene, they’ve been more than able to discuss the “snake in the grass” that is Dutch.

Oh, he's getting roasted by the fandom.

“To this day I still wonder what made Dutch go off the rails this badly,” shared Suavveesstt, “People say it was Micah's doing getting in Dutch's head. And whilst Micah definitely did sway Dutch, he seems too strong minded to be manipulated like that.”

Shocking though it is to still be finding secrets in-game, nothing is as shocking as Dutch’s delusions.
