The details found around Red Dead Redemption 2’s map are second to none and it is clear that Rockstar aimed for players to keep coming back in order to discover all the hit game has to offer.

Despite Red Dead Redemption 2 first being released back in 2018 and not receiving any major updates in recent years, players are still flocking to the Rockstar hit and discovering new and unique details and features after all these years.

Check out the launch trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 below!

Returning for multiple playthroughs means that you can learn new things such as how you can save one of the game’s biggest characters, or unearthing heartbreaking details about the infamous Gavin.

However, when you are not getting into tavern brawls or hunting legendary animals, it is not uncommon to jump on the back of your horse and explore the vast and beautiful world that Rockstar has created.

That being said, one player took exploration to a whole new level by taking to the skies in a hot air balloon and what they discovered will blow your minds.

Posted to r/reddeadredemption, one player posted a series of screenshots they took after using a mod to spawn a hot air balloon.

They went on to explore the off-road area of Ambarino and amongst the snow-capped mountains and the rugged terrain, they found areas that Rockstar never even planned for players to see.

As these areas are only accessible thanks to mods, you wonder why the developers would even bother to work on these environments but it just goes to show Rockstar’s commitment to details.

So, if you happen to play Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC and have access to mods, you can check out this picturesque area for yourself and who knows? Maybe hot air balloons will be a standard way to travel in Red Dead Redemption 3.
