That is what happened to one user over on r/RDR2 who uncovered an adorable secret that can only be found when you take your time.
“Seventh playthrough and I’ve never heard him sing this song,” the user posted, alongside a video of Arthur taking a leisurely ride through the mountains and singing a jaunty tune.
Although some fans in the past have noticed that Arthur is no stranger to a sing-a-long, this particular song has gone unnoticed by many which leads us all to question when exactly it is triggered.
“Third playthrough... Never heard him sing. Crazy game,” the top comment reads.

However, user The_Calarg had some tips on how to get this tune out of Arthur.
“Slow down and get out into the hills (not the snow),” they explain.
“Or grab a rowboat in St Denis and row to Annesburg. The rowboat one caught me unaware, but I've had him start singing shortly after leaving camp at Clemens Point before reaching the road. He won't do it at a gallop or a run so far as I've found, slow trot or walking helps."
They continued, "If there's a reset timer for when he sings then it resets when he talks to someone, shoots, or does any actions besides moving relatively slowly as he doesn't do it during these actions nor immediately afterward from my experience.”

One user summed it up when they said, “Damn. I need to walk the horse. 2000+ hours and I’ve never heard Arthur sing.”
So next time you boot up Red Dead Redemption 2, make sure you take your time and you may just hear Arthur’s dulcet tones.
