Red Dead Redemption 2 has a fantastic bounty hunter expansion that’ll lead to some wild encounters on your next playthrough.
If you’ve played Red Dead Redemption 2 you’ll know that when you commit serious crimes you’ll enter up with a bounty hunter on your tail. They’ll track you down and kill you for cash unless you can either avoid them or kill them first.
In the Red Dead Online mode you can also be a bounty hunter if you wish, and it’s probably the best option to keep things interesting.
Anyway, they’re a cool part of the game but a new expansion mod will make this gameplay mechanic much more exciting.

It’s called Most Wanted - Ultimate Bounty Hunters and it can be downloaded for free from NexusMods right now.
Simply put it gives you control over how bounty hunters work in your game. With this mod you can alter how often they’ll spawn, how far away they’ll be when they spawn and how many will come after you at once.
There are plenty of interesting things you can do with this, but the most interesting approach we’ve seen comes from Reddit user justsomedank.
They posted a video to the Red Dead Redemption subreddit of them hanging around Saint Dennis, buying a new gun, doing nothing out of the ordinary.

Suddenly a group of bounty hunters appear and chase the player into an alley, and after hiding out on a balcony for a bit they eventually catch up to them, leading to a massive shootout that didn’t end so well…
It’s pretty cool, especially when you consider bounty hunters can only attack you outside of a city in the base game. With this mod though you’re never safe, leading to exciting and unexpected encounters like this.
That said I don’t think you’d want this mod installed all of the time. As fun as it’d be to randomly have to fend off a horde of hunters I’d imagine it could be quite annoying if you’re actually trying to progress in the game, or just fancy buying some new gear from one of the shops.
Fortunately as we explained before you can tweak the mod however you like, so you can decrease how many spawn and how aggressive they are.
