Pokémon: Johto Adventures is the Arceus sequel we need

If you're in a need of an Arceus successor, check out this stunning fan-made Johto project.

It’s been a rocky couple of months for Pokémon fans. Back in November, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet released in a less-than-deal technical state, plus we’re all still reeling over the latest news about Ash Ketchum.

Admittedly, plenty of us here at GAMINGbible did actually enjoy Scarlet and Violet but many fans demanded refunds. It’s a serious affair, but there is one NSFW glitch that may give you a good chuckle. Just to break our hearts a little bit more, it was then announced that Ash and Pikachu are being replaced as series protagonists. If you need a good cathartic cry, I recommend reading Ash’s voice actor’s response to the news. Today though, I bring you something wholesome to help ease the emotional pain.

Take a look at our Pokémon Scarlet and Violet review below.

YouTuber millenniumloops has set about making Johto Adventures, an incredible Pokémon inspired project, in Unreal Engine 4. The creator is keeping tight-lipped about exactly what the end result will involve, but in the promo clip, we’re given a tour of a stunning recreation of Ecruteak City. In terms of style, it's got major Arceus vibes and I’m here for it.

Here’s one for you fact fans: Do you know the origin story of Entei, Raikou and Suicune? The trio were believed to have perished in the fire that gave Johto’s Burned Tower its namesake, but were revived by the legendary bird Ho-Oh.

I digress. Fans are looking forward to seeing more of millenniumloops’ project. One user referred to it as a “masterpiece,” while another wrote, “How come this feels better than actual Pokémon games?” One fan added, “Brought tears to my eyes. Really incredible job.” I quite agree. We’ll be keeping an eye out as further progress is made.
