Pokémon's least popular of all 1,025 'Mon officially unveiled, and now we feel bad

We don't feel that bad

With over 1,000 Pokémon created in over 25 years, there are plenty of weird, wonderful, cute, and bizarre Pokémon out there.

We may have an idea of which Pokémon is the most popular and which might come dead last but until now it hasn’t been widely known.

GAMINGbible got to meet some brilliant Pokémon players and fans at the recent World Championships

That’s because nobody has really polled that many lovers of the franchise, but that has all changed.

YouTuber, Thomas Game Docs, created a website that polled users and made them choose between two randomly selected Pokémon.

With all Pokémon uploaded to the website, the users could choose from all in existence, with the exception of regional variants.

At the end of the project, a massive 1,608,153 votes were cast and all Pokémon were ranked.

You might be surprised by the Pokémon with the least amount of votes.

It turns out that Rellor is the least popular of all the Pokémon out there. It’s no surprise if you look closely.

Rellor is a dung beetle - already not off to a good start - with a very basic design that isn’t adapted much from its real-world counterpart.

It’s also considered pretty mediocre in battles, until its evolution into Rabsca, meaning that most people catch it and forget it right away.

It’s interesting to see that so many people actively avoided voting for Rellor in a head-to-head with other creatures.

What’s also interesting is the other end of the test project - the most popular Pokémon.

You might be thinking, ‘That’s easy, it’s Pikachu’ but you’d be wrong. In fact, Pikachu doesn’t even get into the top 50, ranking at 65th.

The most popular after polling was complete, was Umbreon. This could be due to the iconic design, or the fact that it was the first of the dark-type Pokémon.

So, now you know. Rellor isn’t liked by, well, anyone.
