There really isn’t anything better than getting something for free, even if you have to spend a little bit of money on something else to get it.

PlayStation Plus has become a bit of a hotbed for deals like that, offering players incentives to purchase longer subscriptions to the service, in exchange for additional rewards over those who pay on a rolling monthly contract.

This could be anything from additional games to store credit, to even offers for other services, on the occasions where Sony is able to strike up a bargain with a rival company.

Well, one such deal has just popped up, and it’s one that home movie fans will absolutely want to be aware of.

Over on the official PlayStation blog, as part of the post confirming the PlayStation Plus games for December, Sony shared an additional tidbit designed to entice players into buying a full year’s subscription at once.

“Purchase any 12-month PlayStation Plus membership and get movie credit(s) to spend on the Sony Pictures Core app. Dive into epic blockbusters like Venom The Last Dance, 28 Years Later, Karate Kid Legends, Anaconda, and more***—your next movie marathon starts here****!” the post reads.

You may have noticed the exceptional amount of asterisks present in that portion of the statement, and those are there because there are some conditions to the deal that you should be aware of.

The first is that the availability of titles varies significantly by region, whilst the second confirms that this deal is only on offer for those in Australia, New Zealand, the EU, UK, USA, Mexico and Canada. If you find yourself outside of those, I’m afraid it looks like you’re out of luck.

If you have any concerns over the quality of PlayStation Plus as a product right now, there’s really no need to be. The service has been on an absolute hot streak for the last few months, giving some pretty big titles to players as part of its monthly offering.

This latest set is headlined by Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which follows the story of Basim, who you may remember appears as a character in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

It’s joined there by Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Skate Story, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Planet Coaster 2, Cat Quest 3, Lego Horizon Adventures, Paw Patrol: Grand Prix and Paw Patrol World, whilst Soulcalibur III is available for those who subscribe to the Premium tier.
