Horizon Zero Dawn, the jewel in Guerrilla Games' crown, has gotten an upgrade for the PlayStation 5 and players are over the moon with how the game now looks.

In Gamescom Opening Live, Sony announced that Horizon Forbidden West will no longer be launching in this year and will now arrive on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in February. "It's no surprise that our teams were hugely impacted by the global pandemic; we have been adjusting to new workflows, protocols, and other challenges, while keeping our teams safe and prioritizing a healthy work/life balance," explained director Mathijs de Jonge.

Ultimately, the delay will allow Guerrilla Games some wiggle room when it comes to the schedules and deadlines it has for one of the most anticipated sequels in gaming right now. If the hype has passed you by, let me illuminate your life. It's got giant robot tortoises. And velociraptors that Aloy can ride across the beaches of the West Coast of America. I know.

While a handful had already noticed that an update for the game was rolling out last night, Sony revealed in the event that the change unlocks 60 frames per second on the PlayStation 5. "I'm now playing HZD at 60fps, 4K HDR on a projector and it's seriously blowing my mind. I can't even really play very well because I'm so distracted by the visual oomph!" said elisabetfaden on Reddit.

Fans are so happy with the improvements and are sharing their own clips of how different the four year old game feels with the patch.

Consider the response to this and compare it to the discovery that Aloy's face has changed a little in between the events of Zero Dawn and Forbidden West. A select proportion of players seemed to think that the character is now "masculine" because her bone structure is softer and she's gained a few frown lines. You heard it here first, folks. A round face and freckles are so clearly traits reserved for men, not women.
