You have just a month to catch up with this sci-fi adventure

To celebrate the upcoming arrival of a brand-new Destiny 2 expansion arriving this summer, Sony is giving PlayStation and PC owners the chance to catch up.

There is no denying that getting into Destiny 2 is quite daunting. With hours of gameplay and a hefty chunk of lore, it can be hard to find your feet.

Check out the end of Destiny 2's epic saga, The Final Shape below!

Now with a brand-new expansion, The Final Shape, arriving this June, players are scrambling to catch up but luckily for them, Sony is here to save the day.

It is giving all PlayStation and PC players the chance to play previous Destiny 2 expansions The Witch Queen, Beyond Light, and Shadowkeep for a limited time. Not only that but the most recent expansion, Lightfall, is available at no extra cost for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

The offer, known as Expansion Open Access runs from 7 May to 3 June which will take us right up to The Final Shape’s release on the 4.

This means that if players want to catch up on Destiny 2 content, they have just under a month to complete three expansions and four seasons of content. Completely doable right?

However, if you care more about gameplay than lore, The Witch Queen is not one to miss out on and nobody will judge you too much for skipping over certain expansions. Trust me, I am a Destiny 2 player.

The Final Shape which Bungie summarises as the “culmination of a 10-year journey” but will “not be the end of Destiny 2”, will mark the end of the game’s long running Light vs Dark saga. Our guardians will finally face the dreaded Witness and hopefully come out triumphant.

However, with the Destiny 2 story set to continue, it remains to be seen what is next for the Bungie franchise.
