We all know that times are hard, and that 2020 has been a playground bully of a year. But you know what? Video games help. I love 'em, and if you're reading this, you probably love 'em too. And if you love video games, chances are you've got a thing for dirt cheap video games. Am I right? I bet I'm right.

What luck then, as Sony has just launched a massive Summer Sale over on the PlayStation Store. There are hundreds of titles on offer right now, with some pretty meaty discounts on some of the best AAA titles and PS4 exclusives of the last few years. If you've been holding off on getting any of the last few major releases because you don't have a spare £60 for every game that comes out, this could be the time to stock up.

You can check out the full list of deals right here, but I've also combed through myself to share some top picks with you, because I love you. The first one that caught my eye was Days Gone. I've been avoiding paying full price for the PS4-exclusive open-world zombie game because, well, I've heard some seriously mixed things about it. But it's currently over 70% off at just under £16. It's clearly time to take the plunge.

There are loads of other great titles for under £16, if you're interested in indulging on a bit of a budget. Grand Theft Auto V is £11.99, on the off-chance that you somehow still don't own Rockstar's open world mega-hit. You can also grab The Last Of Us Remastered for £7.99, if you feel like having your heart broken. Other highlights include Skyrim (£13), The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (£7), DOOM (£4), and Metro: Exodus (£12).

If none of those tickle your fancy, there are plenty more for you to check out and, you know, hopefully buy. Control was our Game Of The Year last year, and really is something everybody should try out. You can nab that for £17 at the moment. Death Stranding is super weird and I still don't really get the hype, but it could be yours for £23.

Finally, as my last top-tip/pick, Marvel's Spider-Man: Game Of The Year Edition for £22.49. That's the base game plus all of the story DLC and bonus costumes. If you're a Spidey fan and haven't checked this game out, get on it now. If you're not a Spider-Man fan, have a quiet word with yourself.
