From receiving reward points for purchasing some hit titles or just by booting up your latest purchase, PlayStation Stars regularly hands out free points that can later be exchanged for free store credit.

Now to celebrate the upcoming release of Astro Bot this September, the loyalty programme is offering members the chance to earn a whopping 300 points.

Astro Bot is the sequel to 2020 game Astro’s Playroom which can be accessed for free on every PlayStation 5 console.

The 2020 title was met with rave reviews so it is no wonder that millions of fans are looking forward to the next instalment on 6 September.

For those pre-ordering Astro Bot digitally then don’t miss out on redeeming some free points courtesy of PlayStation Stars.

Pre-ordering the upcoming Sony title on the PlayStation store will net you with 150 points.

Additionally, a fellow campaign tasks you with playing any game on the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 in order to bag yourself another 150 points.

These campaigns were seen courtesy of one user over on r/playstationstars.

“I’m shocked that Sony actually retroactively gave me the 150 points because I preordered it last week. Hopefully that carries over to future releases!” One user replied.

Another said: “This needs to happen more! Give bonus points, not collectibles, to people for pre-ordering games on PSN!”

The campaign ends in 38 days so make sure to hurry and pre-order Astro Bot if you haven’t already.
