However, with the arrival of the LittleBigPlanet spin-off on Sony’s subscription service, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, PlayStation gamers can take advantage of free DLC even without a PS Plus subscription.

“Spring is coming to Craftworld! Hop right into the season of heroic adventures with Sackboy’s fresh Daisy Costume,” tweeted the official LittleBigPlanet Twitter account. “Spread some sunshine throughout the land by downloading it for Sackboy: A Big Adventure from April 7th.”

Sackboy has brought epic levels of cuteness ever since he first arrived on PS3 in 2008, but now he looks arguably cuter than ever in his vibrant Daisy Flower Costume perfect for the Spring season.

Unlike the main LittleBigPlanet series, Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a 3D platform title developed by Sumo Digital that arrived on PS5 and PS4 in 2020, before arriving on PC in 2022. It is playable on your lonesome or with three other friends. While it lacks the overall creativity of its bigger sibling, Sackboy: A Big Adventure comes with all the charm that fans of the series would expect.

According to Metacritic, Sackboy: A Big Adventure has earned a score of 79 and 83 on PS5 and PS4, respectively. If you’re a subscriber to PlayStation Plus, we can wholeheartedly recommend checking out this lovable platformer.

In related PS Plus news, the March 2023 Extra and Premium tier offerings include the day-one release of action adventure from Awaceb and Kepler Interactive, Tchia. In our review of Tchia, we described it as this “year’s most delightful open-world adventure”.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Tchia are out now for PC, PS5 and PS4.
