The console landscape is a very different one nowadays. While there is still some level of rivalry between brands, there’s also a lot of communication and collaboration, too.

Sony have been a lot more giving when it comes to their exclusive titles recently, and this could see one of their prime titles coming over to Xbox in 2025.

LEGO Horizon Adventures is a cute retelling of the original game

PlayStation titles have been making the leap over to PC for some time now, but Sony has been keeping many of their exclusives off of their direct competition in Xbox.

However, according to justplayit we will see that change next year as Sony brings Lego Horizon Adventures over to Xbox consoles.

The game has already been released for PC and Sony deemed that Nintendo could have the game for their Switch console, too.

Until now, nobody was really sure if it would see the light of day on Xbox.

However, the game isn’t performing particularly well, with less than 500 people playing it on Steam at its peak.

This doesn’t mean the game isn’t seeing players on the two consoles, but it could be behind the reason that Sony will give the rights to Microsoft and open the game to Xbox players.

Industry insider, Jez Corden, has cast doubt on this rumour, which is understandable - would Sony want to put a huge franchise like Horizon Zero Dawn on Xbox?

However, they could be under contractual obligations from LEGO to lose any say on where the game is played, especially if it’s underperforming.

While Xbox has recently expressed interest in giving their titles to Sony, it seems the Japanese firm is less accepting of this change in the industry, until now.

This is a little speculative right now, but the jump to Xbox would make commercial sense.
