Xbox, PlayStation gamers surprised with gorgeous free download you can claim now

Xbox and PlayStation users can download a free demo for one of the year’s most anticipated RPGs.

While there are a lot of phenomena; games on the way this year like Star Wars Outlaws and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, there are plenty of less ambitious titles worth just as much of your attention.

Visions of Mana, the upcoming RPG from Square Enix is exactly that type of game and you can play it for free right now.

A free demo is available on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, in addition to PC via Steam, giving you a small taste of the full experience.

Visions Of Mana is the first new game in the series since 2006 when Dawn Of Mana released for the PlayStation 2, and it sounds like it’ll be a must-play for those who like the series or RPGs in general.

Unfortunately the demo will not lead into the full game, so if you play the demo you’ll still be starting from scratch on launch day unlike other demos in the genre.

That being said there’s still a good reason to play the demo outside of wanting to try the game, and that’s the freebies you’ll get when you purchase the full thing.

It’s said playing the demo will unlock three weapons in the full game, these being Gladius, a small sword for Val, Falx, a greatsword for Val, and Horn Lance, a lance for Val.

You’ll be able to grab these weapons a short while into the full game, but only if you’re on the same account you used to play the demo with.

The Visions Of Mana demo is available now for Xbox, PlayStation and PC players, so give it a go before the full game releases on 29 August.
