Tired of us saying “Fallout 5 can wait”? Well, it’s not just us who feel this way.

When games like this new RPG exist, there are plenty of gamers able to easily forget that Bethesda’s next game is years away from launching.

“This is my Fallout 5,” declared Constant_Patience334 on Reddit.

That’s quite the statement to make.

Ready to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl?

Yet, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has left a lasting impression.

“I'm loving it, it's actually difficult and engaging, [I] feel like a kid again playing this gem. God bless the developers for getting it to us in the middle of devastation,” added the OP.

While not everyone likes the way their post is worded, the OP isn’t alone in believing the GSC Game World sequel is a post-apocalyptic experience worthy of admiration.

“I don't even care about technical problems, this is a diamond in a rough. Clearly a labour of love,” one Steam reviewer remarked.

It’s true, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 launched with many bugs, to such an extent that many felt the game “unplayable”.

However, since its release, patches have already been released to address the issues raised by fans.

In short, while not a perfect launch, the developers are still working hard to polish up the experience.

Curious about the Xbox RPG? Here’s a little sample of what you can expect:

“Discover the vast Chornobyl Exclusion Zone full of dangerous enemies, deadly anomalies and powerful artifacts. Unveil your own epic story as you make your way to the Heart of Chornobyl. Make your choices wisely, as they will determine your fate in the end.”

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is out now, and is available on Xbox Game Pass.

It isn’t as funny or as lighthearted as what you’ll find in Fallout, but it’s an adventure worth taking if you have the time.
