It looks like fans are loving the surprise new console from Xbox.
In case you missed it, Xbox is launching a new console later this year. Well, it’s a partnership with ROG, the brand of handheld PCs that gives the Steam Deck a run for its money.
The ROG Xbox Ally will let you play games from your Xbox games library and Game Pass, but will also allow access to PC game libraries such as Steam or Epic Games Store.

The Xbox integration might make the platform quite enticing for anyone who wants to pick up a handheld but doesn’t want to start their library over, like what you might have to do with the Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch 2.
“The Xbox Ally is exactly what I need,” writes a post on the Xbox Reddit page.
“I’m 36 in July, I have a job. It’s kind of hard for me to have TV time just for me for gaming. I don’t have a Windows PC as I work on a Mac and usually I use crossroads to emulate games and play with friends. Been looking at handhelds for a while and this one ticks most of my boxes.”
“Military guy here, handhelds are king on the ship,” wrote another. “Switch and Steam Deck are amazing for that reason but for my Xbox/gamepass library I’ll definitely grab this.”

“I will absolutely be grabbing one of these Xbox Ally X,” another comment wrote. “It makes all the changes to the OG device that was needed, in my eyes.”
Some fans are a little worried though, as the marketing for the ROG Xbox Ally has been a little confusing to say the least.
“Do not view this as an Xbox. I can't stress that enough,” wrote a comment.
“When GTA 6 drops with no PC port on launch and this thing can’t play it I foresee a lot of confused consumers,” added another comment.
