It’s always nice to claim some free credit whether it's on Xbox, PlayStation or Steam which can be used to buy some of our favourite video games or DLC.

Thankfully, Microsoft and Sony have reward campaigns such as Xbox Game Pass Quests, Microsoft Rewards and PlayStation Stars. In a nutshell, these campaigns reward players for completing a variety of quests which can earn you points that in turn can be spent on free store credit, digital video games or even entering competition sweepstakes and more. It might take a while to accumulate points to acquire something worthwhile but eventually, your easy work will be paid off. So, stick with it.

With that in mind, a Reddit user received some bonus points for completing a simple task, and they were rewarded with more points than expected. “Did anyone else get 30 pts for a puzzle?” asked fruitpaintingonwall. “Normally I only get five points for doing puzzles. It must have been a mistake. Thanks, Microsoft.”

Sure, 30 points may not seem like much, but it’s certainly much better than five and goes a long way in claiming free Xbox store credit or whatever else might tickle your fancy.

“This puzzle wasn't as bad as some of the others, I did it legit,” exclaimed Complete_Entry. “Yes, happily collected mine,” said virus_stupidness. “I can't beat those damn puzzles. I get my wife to do them for me. But she had company yesterday so I forgot,” krissrocK revealed.

So there you have it, you can earn 30 points instead of the typical five, apparently. But if you want to claim these points, you might want to act fast before Microsoft removes the quest for something new on rotation.
