Xbox Game Pass memberships are currently been given away for free

The catch? It's for new subscribers only

NVIDIA is currently offering users the opportunity to gain access to Xbox Game Pass totally for free.

There’s just one simple catch: you have to be a new subscriber.

I’m imagining that rules out plenty of us, but for those who are new to Xbox Game Pass, you should definitely make note of this offer.

Xbox Game Pass is a stellar service. The sheer number of day one launches is truly quite astonishing, although it remains disappointing that those launches will soon be locked behind the subscription service’s priciest tier.

Of course, price rises will also soon come into effect.

That being said, it’ll likely still be cheaper to play a new AAA launch via Game Pass than it will be to buy the game outright.

Buying the game outright is safer if you’re concerned about ownership and preservation but I digress.

At present, one month of Xbox Game Pass will set you back £9.99 for the PC membership, £14.99 for the Ultimate membership, or £6.99 for a Core membership.

Via the NVIDIA offer, it’s one month of the PC tier that you’ll be able to unlock.

ICYMI: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will land on Xbox Game Pass later this year. Take a look at the title in action below.

To unlock this freebie, you need to begin by creating a NVIDIA account.

Once you’ve done that, download, install, and open either the Open GeForce Experience or the NVIDIA App Beta.

Whichever you choose, log in with your account.

From here, navigate over to the section titled ‘Redeem’ and you should see your one month of Game Pass reward listed.

It’s then as simple as redeeming your reward directly or via GeForce Experience or the NVIDIA App Beta.

The promotion ends on 5 September, with rewards redeemable until 16 September.

It’s limited to one per account but unfortunately, the offer cannot be redeemed in China, North Korea, Turkey, Argentina, Libya, Russia, Hong Kong, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, or India, as per the terms and conditions.
