Free store credit is a god send for the gamers in your life and so when companies make it a whole lot easier to earn some, it can make all the difference.
Luckily that is the case for Microsoft as thanks to its Rewards scheme, players are able to access free store credit a whole lot easier.

This is a feature that has been highly requested by users over the years but luckily it has finally arrived with the recent Xbox console update.
If you are not familiar with Microsoft Rewards, it is a scheme by Microsoft that allows users to earn points by taking part in various activities. This includes: purchasing and playing Xbox Games, buying products on the Microsoft store, or even just searching using Bing.
In turn, points can be accumulated and eventually exchanged for free store credit via an Xbox Gift Card and now for the first time, this can be any amount you desire.
More specifically, any amount can now be entered as long as it is at least $5.

Once here, head to catalogue and then ‘Xbox Gift Card’. Once here, you will either be able to select an amount or enter your own custom number. The latter will see you be able to enter any amount ranging from $5 to $100.
Then simply click ‘Redeem Reward’ and the value will be sent to your account.
It may seem like a small change but it will definitely make a difference to users who have previously been frustrated with having to save up extra points in order to hit a certain $5 increment.
