A recent arrival to Xbox Game Pass is impressing players for being a small, enjoyable experience that doesn’t outstay its welcome.

Minami Lane is an indie game that most definitely falls under the umbrella term of ‘cosy’ and it will not only please fans of the genre, but wow those looking for something incredibly cute.

First released in 2024, Minami Lane puts you in charge of a street, where you can customise buildings, manage shops, and monitor the happiness of local residents - much more than your local council does.

It has become a gem within the Xbox Game Pass line up, and it’s winning over plenty of people who now consider themselves fans.

Over on Reddit, one user took to the message board to express their joy at finding this game.

“I am on mission 4 of 5 of this little town management sim, and I am loving it!” writes Iseanna, continuing with, “it's definitely worth your time.”

They’re not the only fan who was won over by the adorable charm of Minami Lane, as plenty of others replied to talk about their time with it.

“I just finished it last night, and I’m itching for more,” notes MasterWarrior10.

One of the developers actually hopped into the thread, saying, “Hey thanks a lot, I'm really glad you are enjoying it! I have to admit, we didn't really know what reaction to expect from game pass players for just a tiny game like ours.”

The positive comments kept flowing, with one Redditor saying, “My current wind-down game! I love it right now.”

Another followed that up with, “I was playing last night and I agree it's great! Sandbox mode is a ton of fun too.”

Seems like another indie hit for the Xbox subscription service, and well worth checking out if you want something cosy.
