Xbox clearly hoped weâd be too taken aback by this cheeky design to be annoyed, but the brand clearly underestimated its fans.
For some reason, Xbox keeps missing the mark.
Try as it might to keep its fans happy, thereâs always some aspect of its services and/or hardware that irks people.
After this latest uproar, we fear not even the three free games that just dropped will save Microsoft from the line of fire.

A couple of days ago, Xbox revealed its Deadpool inspired console and controller.
To say that this piece of hardware is âcaked upâ is a gross understatement.
As Deadpool himself would tell you, that butt youâre seeing that gives the new controller its shape is âCanadaâs assâ.
Are you ready for Deadpool & Wolverine?
Yet, this isnât an ass you can buy.
Like other limited-edition hardware before it, this Deadpool themed console is part of a giveaway.
Cue the anger.
Gone are the days when people believed there's equal opportunity for anyone to win a competition; now weâre jaded from previous experiences.
Reddit user DiligentSink7919 said, âThey're [giveaways] scams anyway, they [Xbox] only pick people with a certain amount of followers so they can get more engagement.â
Another user also shared a similar cynical viewpoint, saying, âI donât even bother with these giveaways. The only thing I won was $1 in a Lunchables in 2008.â
It isnât just the competition that has fans annoyed, though, itâs the fact that Xbox is believed to be willingly doing itself out of money.
Allow Redditor Sea-Anywhere-799 to explain, âIf they sold these consoles instead of doing giveaways that would definitely boost Xbox sales.
âTake a look at Sony Spider-Man 2 PS5 bundles, the amount of sales they had which also brings people into the system is crazy. Xbox needs something like that.â
All this advice is falling on deaf ears, unfortunately, as Xbox focuses on giveaways instead of offering its limited-edition tech to everyone.
