Xbox is dropping four games to play for a limited team, all of which are free but you will need Xbox Game Pass.

Every now and then Xbox gives its Xbox Game Pass subscribers the chance to play some games at no additional cost via its Free Play Days, and this weekend four titles will be made available to download and play.

While the offering doesn’t primarily consist of bangers, there are still some titles worth checking out if you haven’t already, starting with the best game on the list, Mortal Kombat 1.

The reboot of the critically-acclaimed fighting game series will be free to play over the weekend, meaning you can test your might in online lobbies as well as take some of the new and returning characters for a spin. You can also try to beat the main story if you’re more inclined to play singleplayer experiences. You won’t be able to sample the new DLC fighters like Omni-Man and Peacemaker, but the game is still worth a go nonetheless.

Then you can move over to Moving Out 2, a great game to play with friends or your significant other about shifting around boxes and relishing the mayhem that follows. It’s similar to Overcooked.

From Space and Ed-0: Zombie Uprising are also included in the offering, and are well-worth a look while they’re free.

Playing all four of these games is very simple. All you need is a valid membership to Xbox Game Pass, either the Core service or Ultimate, then you should be able to find the above games in the Xbox store where you’ll be given the option to download them.

Once the trial period ends they’ll remain installed on your hard drive but you’ll be unable to play them until you make a purchase, though you progress and save data will still be there if you decide to buy them and continue playing. The trial is currently underway, and will end on 10 March at midnight.
