Do you own an Xbox Series S, an Xbox Series X, or an Xbox One? Do you like free games? Well then hurry up and claim this one as quickly as you can, because it’s only free until tomorrow!

Back in April, publisher Deep Silver made Metro 2033 Redux free on all platforms, including Xbox platforms. If you tried to claim the game during this period, you probably already know exactly what I’m about to say.

For whatever reason, you just couldn’t redeem Metro 2033 Redux on Xbox platforms.

As Pure Xbox detailed in their article at the time, even the publishers weren’t really sure what the issue was. No matter what anyone tried to do, the game just couldn’t be redeemed.

That sort of left Xbox owners out in the cold, because this game was free on literally everything. Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Steam… just not Xbox.

Well, Deep Silver stated that they’d investigate the issue and make the game free once again in the future– and it seems that day has finally come.

Thankfully, at least based on the comments over on the r/Xbox subreddit, it seems you can actually redeem the title properly this time around.

“Ooh nabbed that one. Have only played on switch, which was a bit of miracle port apparently, so nice to play at full power”, commented user Sea_Boysenberry_4907.

“Nice now I own this on Epic, GoG, Steam and Xbox. Still haven't played it yet” replied user funnyguy349.

Unfortunately now you’ve got a whole different issue, because if you’re only just hearing about this now… well then you’ve definitely got less than 24 hours left before this offer disappears from the Xbox storefront.

Hurry up and boot up your nearest Xbox console so you can add this one to your library ASAP, because it would hurt to lose out on claiming it for a second time.
