A free Xbox Series X is currently up for grabs for anyone thinking of switching their internet provider, but it expires today.

If you missed out on the Black Friday, Christmas and Boxing Day sales you might have missed your chance at getting a discounted Xbox Series X/S. Luckily, you can get a free one by switching to Verizon internet.

The US internet provider is currently offering one of Microsoft’s new-gen consoles for those willing to adopt one of their home internet plans.

The Xbox in question costs around $499, and the company is even throwing in another freebie too, a $200 Amazon voucher. This would be a great bonus to get some sweet accessories or games for your shiny new console, like 2023’s Game Of The Year Baldur’s Gate 3, or other titles like Resident Evil 4 (2023), Star Wars: Jedi Survivor or Starfield.

Interested participants will want to act quickly though, as today is the last eligible day to claim the deal.

Verizon have been offering it for a few weeks now, but will soon discontinue it making today your last chance to grab the free console.

We won’t lie, it’s a great time to be an Xbox user. While Sony is still leading the console war with the PlayStation 5, which recently received a slim upgrade, the Xbox is more than holding its own.

This is largely thanks to its subscription service, Xbox Game Pass, which saved gamers a whopping $9000 in 2023 with all of its additions. There’s surely more to come in 2024 as well, with some confirmed additions being Persona 3: Reloaded and Yakuza: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth soon joining the service.

There’s also talk of several new exclusives joining the roster, like a brand-new Banjo Kazooie game rumoured to be in development.
