Xbox Game Pass users will be able to easily redeem 1,000 free V-Bucks for Fortnite starting from next week.
In case you missed the news, Xbox Game Pass recently went through some changes, which included adding some new benefits to justify the rather steep price increase.
While many have criticised Microsoft for the price increase to Xbox Game Pass, others have enjoyed the new changes to the service.
One of these new benefits includes the addition of Fortnite Crew, a monthly subscription service for Fortnite which comes with access to various passes and exclusive content.

Fortnite Crew gives you access to the game’s Battle Pass, OG Pass, LEGO Pass and Music Pass, and you also gain access to a few special items. What’s more, you also get 1,000 free V-Bucks to spend on the in-game shop each month.
Fortnite Crew will be available with all active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions from 18th November. This tier of the service recently underwent a price hike, now costing £22.99 per month.

Is Fortnite Crew worth it?
As Fortnite Crew already costs £9.99 per month, and 1,000 V-Bucks are around £6.99, you won’t necessarily need to sign up for Game Pass to enjoy the benefits that come with it. It’s still cheaper to get the V-Bucks directly.
However, if you’re already a subscriber of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and also play Fortnite, it’s a pretty good deal to squeeze a little bit extra out of your subscription.
Even if you play Fortnite on a different platform, you’ll still retain all purchases made on the in-game shop. Meaning any Outfits, Emotes, or other items that you collect in exchange for V-Bucks will carry over onto other platforms.
Following the announcement of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate now including a Fortnite Crew subscription, Microsoft said that this is “just the beginning of Xbox and Epic’s work together toward an open gaming ecosystem where friends can play and create together, anywhere, across devices”.
In other Fortnite news, Epic Games recently launched a new season that featured a rather large collaboration with The Simpsons.
The new season features a map heavily inspired by Springfield, and also includes various characters from the show as playable skins to bring into the various multiplayer modes featured in-game.
It's yet another example of the reach Fortnite has, where it is able to use its massive playerbase to pull together collaborations with many IP holders to feature in the game.
