If you’re a fan of Valheim and Subnautica, then you might want to check out this gorgeous, new open-world survival game.
Open-world survival games are great for helping to pass the time, and then some. Games such as Ark: Survival Evolved, No Man’s Sky, and, more notably,
Minecraft have resulted in millions of gamers across the world losing countless hours in the respective worlds.

Another two games that can be added to that list are the aforementioned Valheim, developed by Iron Gate Studio and Subnautica, developed and published by Unknown Worlds Entertainment.
However, if you’re looking for a game that has hints of both Valheim and Subnautica with a touch of Railroad Tycoon, then the new survival game, Railborn, developed and published by Washbear Studio, might be your cup of tea.
“Railborn is a survival game where you build your train piece by piece. Navigate a world entangled by branching tracks. Find rare plants to cultivate on your farms. Upgrade your train - manage its power systems, direct resource flow, and distribute water,” reads the synopsis on Steam.

Judging by the gameplay trailer, it looks like Railborn could be a lot of fun, especially if you’re a train hobbyist. Railborn can be played co-op with friends or on your lonesome.
“I really don't like survival games, especially when you have to abandon your home to travel,” said quentinclementnarratif on YouTube. “But a game where you travel WITH your home is a great idea. I'll buy it.”
Railborn has no confirmed release date at the time of writing, but it will be entering its Steam early access phase soon.
Hopefully, if Railborn proves to be a success on PC, it might make its way over to consoles. We’ll have our fingers crossed.

In the meantime, but sure to wishlist Railborn on Steam to be notified of when it's ready to leave the station (sorry, not sorry).
