If you want to claim some Steam freebies to jazz up your gaming profile, then look no further, because we have you covered.

It’s worth keeping in mind that these Steam freebies are very time-sensitive and by the looks of things, they will expire by the end of this weekend, so act fast before you miss out. Moreover, these freebies are an added treat for fans of classic Bethesda FPS games.

Check out the DOOM: The Dark Ages trailer below!

This weekend Bethesda celebrates QuakeCon, which not only has video game announcements, but it’s also a place where like-minded gamers can get together and have a good old LAN party with beloved multiplayer classics such as DOOM and Quake.

You can also shop to your heart's content claiming tons of merch, hear insights from developers, watch some of the best gamers in the world speedrun and much more.

QuakeCon is being held in Grapevine, Texas, the United States, from 8 August to 11 August 204 and obviously, not everyone can attend. Thankfully, however, you can watch some of the world's biggest gaming conventions streamed online, such as QuakeCon.

One such place where you’re able to watch QuakeCon is on the PC platform Steam and if you choose this platform, you can claim free animated avatars and avatar frames, as brought to our attention by Reddit user MeguminShiro.

Unfortunately, the chances are you may have missed the first set of freebies, but a new livestream will begin today at 9pm UK time and you’ll be able to claim another batch of free downloads to proudly display on your Steam profile.

According to members of the Reddit thread in question, you only have to watch the QuakeCon livestream for a mere 10 minutes. So if nothing tickles your fancy during the livestream, feel free to bail whenever you want. You can also watch QuakeCon via the official Bethesda Twitch channel.

At the time of writing, we’ve not seen any new gameplay for the next big Bethesda FPS, DOOM: The Dark Ages and I wouldn't recommend holding your breath waiting for that to happen.

DOOM: The Dark Ages will be released in 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
