This is a highly-rated freebie!

If you’re after a fun and highly-rated Steam game without spending a penny, then you’re in the right place but you need to act fast to avoid missing out.

When subscribing to the likes of PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass, you have access to potentially hundreds of video games in an instant. Sure, those subscriptions cost money but with so many games on offer, it can feel like we’re getting the goods for free.

Check out the Castle Break trailer below!

However, you can claim this highly-rated indie action game for free with no subscription needed. As brought to our attention by the Twitter account, Free Steam Games, you can claim Castle Break on PC right now.

“Breakout game + physics + shooting + building. Use your mouse like in air hockey to kick enemy bombs back into the evil Black Castle! Destroy enemy towers rockets and lasers. Build your base to protect your little dudes - you need them to win,” reads the description of the game.

Castle Break, developed and published by Pauloondra is available to claim for a limited time. Once claimed, it is yours to keep forever. But there is one major caveat, and it’s only available for free for less than 24 hours, until Sunday, 13 October 2024.

“This game is really refreshing. I have not seen a twist on the brick break/arkonoid game style in a while,” said Steam user Novibear. “Having an army instead of lives was neat as well and being able to build defences and just shoot lasers was fun!”

To avoid being seriously unlucky, you might want to claim the game right now. That being said, if you do miss out on claiming Castle Break for free, it will only cost £4.29, which isn't bad for a game with a “Very Positive” rating on Steam.

Castle Break is out now on PC.
