Steam Makes 2025 Game Free To Keep For Limited Time

Available until 10 January.

A 2025 PC game has just been made free to keep on Steam, but you only have a limited time to claim the offer.

Steam is home to a lot of free games, but sometimes developers can make their premium games free to keep as long as you redeem it within a certain timeframe.

This is similar to how games go free on the Epic Games Store each week, where something that usually costs money is available for free, which you can add to your account at no charge.

This time around, the game is Billie’s Wheelie, an eight-player co-op and PvP game where play as a hamster in a ball trying to complete different challenges while playing with or against friends.

Normally costing £4.99, developer M4DOOM has made the game completely free to keep as long as you redeem it before 10 January, at which point it’ll go back to its original price.

“In this fast-paced adventure racing platformer, you take control of Billie, an adorable hamster on a mission to roll, race, and zoom through wild, dynamic tracks. Jump, dodge, and boost your way to victory, all while collecting cheese and outplaying your opponents,” reads the blurb on Billie’s Wheelie.

If you have enough friends to play with, it might be a good shout to check this out. Considering it’s free, I’m sure you’ll at least be able to kill an hour or two.

Billie's Wheelie Has 100% Positive Reviews From Players Who Bought The Game

Those who have already played the game seem to be enjoying it. Prior to the game going free, the game had 100% positive reviews.

That has since dropped to a Mixed average score after people were able to play it free, though there are still a lot more positive reviews than there are negative ones.

“One of the best games I’ve ever played. 10/10 Would recommend,” reads one review.

“A simple and fun game with smooth controls and enjoyable short levels. I finished the game and liked the overall experience,” reads another review.

“Billie’s Wheelie is adorable, sweet, and simply lovable, and the ability to customize your hamster and its ball adds a lot of fun and personal touch. The mechanics are simple and accessible for everyone, and the fast races and hopping through levels are genuinely enjoyable,” reads a third review.

Billie’s Wheelie is available as a free download on Steam until 10 January, 2026. Once you’ve claimed the offer, it’ll be added to your account and can be accessed at any time.
