Set to launch in the new year, There Are No Ghosts at the Grand may boast an unnecessarily long title but it has already marked itself as one of the most anticipated releases of 2026.
By day, you will manage and restore a derelict English hotel and at night, you will have to guard it from a host of meddling spirits. However, with the help of a sardonic cat and a talking power tool, you will have what it takes to overcome a twisting supernatural plot in a musical mystery game unlike any other.
“Will you be able to hold it together while everything around you falls apart?” The official synopsis asks.

Developed by Friday Sundae and launching on Steam, There Are No Ghosts at the Grand is an interactive, psychological narrative adventure unlike any other as players take on the role of Chris David who must make the best of a bad situation in his crumbling hotel.
With just 30 days and 30 nights to restore his new venture, he will have to race against the clock before something, or someone, claims him.
“Nothing is as it seems in the Grand Hotel, lurking beneath the veneer of paper and paint he applies during the day, something horrible shivers and slithers during the night. Don’t believe them when they tell you that There Are No Ghosts at the Grand.”
Fans of games such as House Flipper will love the daytime gameplay with Chris being tasked with restoring and rearranging furniture and using his paint roller and sandblaster to strip away at those decaying walls.
However, it is those same tools that will become your first line of defence as night falls and the ghosts begin to stalk the halls.
Stop them with vacuums, expose them with paint sprays or even subdue them with the furniture cannon.
If you are a fan of renovation, you will not just have to worry about the hotel as you will soon need to venture out into the surrounding village to see which other buildings need your help, whether that’s the local fish and ship shop or the nearby bookshop.
