This free Steam download has been on quite a journey considering it was first released back in 2012 but was later shut down in 2017.

However, the much-loved hack-and-slash dungeon crawler is back from the dead and better yet, is available for players to try out now.

The game is Dungeon Rampage and players will be in charge of bashing, stabbing, cooking, and shocking enemies into submission as they explore various dungeons with or without friends.

As mentioned, the fast-paced dungeon crawler was first released back in 2012 and became a top-rated game on Facebook.

Its popularity saw it grow exponentially but despite this, Dungeon Rampage was shut down in 2017 due to various challenges.

However, thanks to one high school student, it is now back.

The student, Angelos Mako, was so eager to see the game return that he connected with the members of the original development team who was happy to hand over the game’s source code to the student.

Before long, Mako pitched the revival of Dungeon Rampage to Gamebreaking Studios who were happy to accept and soon secured the rights to the franchise.

“When Mako approached us with his project to revive Dungeon Rampage, we were blown away by his passion and dedication”, a comment by Taylor Hellam, CEO of Gamebreaking Studios read.

“It was clear that a game with such a devoted community deserved a second life. Working alongside him and watching the community rally around the project has been inspiring. Our team may be technically focused, but we deeply believe in the power of online games to bring people together. Dungeon Rampage is a perfect example of that.”

Now as part of a Kickstarter campaign, Dungeon Rampage is available to play courtesy of a free demo which can be found on Steam.

So if you were a fan of Dungeon Rampage back in the day or want to try it out for the first time, make sure you download it now.
